There are three types of curing agents- curing agents, catalytic agents and initiator agents. Curing agents are usually affected by heat, radiation, electron beam or chemical additives. Curing agents mainly used to increase the hardness or viscosity. They are usually heat resistant and have low viscosity and toxicity. Curing agents are used in the food preservation and flavoring process to draw moisture out of the food by the process of osmosis.
